I'm doing Mary Poppins as a read-aloud with my kids right now, and I'd like for us to do a lapbook about it. However, there are no resources out there right now for a Mary Poppins lapbook. So, it looks like I'm going to have to create my own. I'm somewhat clueless when it comes to creating documents and such on the computer. I know that there are sites that have free templates and stuff. Basically, my question is how do I put things like Mary Poppins clip art on the mini-books, so that they look nice when we put glue them into the lapbook? I've only ever assembled lapbooks that have already been put together. I've never created one from scratch before.
Whenever I need any clip art I usually grab it off of Microsoft Word or find pictures off of a google image search if I'm looking for something specific and then copy and paste it into Word so I can change the size and then print it out to cut it out and glue it on or add it where I want it in my document.
If you're using Microsoft Word to make up the document itself you can add the clip art right in and change the format so that you can put it where ever you want/need it to be. I know Word inside and out so thats usually what I use for everything....not sure if that was helpful or not....
