We're just getting started on our (almost official) homeschooling adventure. My kids are 2 1/2 (just learning through play for her) and almost 5. My oldest is really interested in doing more actual 'work.' She keeps asking for projects and worksheets (she's seen an older homeschooling friend doing some).
At first I thought her enthusiasm wouldn't last all that long, so I made a few worksheets and projects of my own. But instead of getting bored she just got motivated and excited to do more. Since she is so young, I don't want to dive into a traditional curriculum just yet.
What I've been doing is picking 1-3 activities, for each main subject (social studies, science, language arts, math). That gives me 4-12 activities for the week. Some of them are small (making patterns with stickers on a blank sheet of paper) and some are bigger (when learning about senses we did the hidden object guessing game where you have to either touch or smell an object to guess what it is). We work on the activities throughout the week, whenever we feel so moved.
Anyway, I've been making the majority of my own stuff (for a while we didn't have a printer) but now I'm on the hunt for some good sources of free printables. So....What are your favorite sites for free printables?

Try http://www.dltk-kids.com/ it has crafts and it's sister sites have worksheets for shapes, colors, letters, numbers, science, customizable tracing sheets and so much more! It's perfect for your ages. Also, you might use http://www.starfall.com/ or http://www.theletteroftheweek.com/ which is a bit of a curriculum I used along with other worksheets.
