I'm not sure how much I shoud be doing and how much she should be doing and how much it's ok to just print and paste... But this is what we ended up with.

Any advice for the next one?

I am a non-vaxing, baby wearing, home schooling, sock and shoe finding, diaper changing, nose wiping, story telling, activity directing, zoo keeping, aerobics instructing, problem solving, speech therapist, peacemaker, chef, janitor, driver, tutor, performer, inventor, scientist, single mother and childcare provider. http://www.colleenslittlemonkeys.webs.com/
It looks great!! I do almost all the cutting and pasting only because it would overwhelm my boys to have to do it all. The only time they do the cut and paste is if its a premade picture/chart that they have nothing to fill out, then they will do the cut and paste after we discuss it.
My kids do all the coloring, writing and pasting. I do the cutting... most of the time. :) I like it to be my kids' work, not mine. But, that's just me. I think you did a great job!! Woot!
I would suggest doing what I did. go to youtube and type in lapbooking and see how to fold the folders and then just browse on youtube and see the lapbooks that have been posted on there to get an idea. I get most of my printables from homeschoolshare.com

Read Shannons Lapbooking 101 post at the top of this forum. That's what I did.
