I found a really great 4 week unit study online for 11.00 but I want to add to it..what types of math do you think I could add to the study? Just make story problems relating to planes and flight? This will be our first study..it already incorporates literature, science and vocabulary but I think I want to expand somewhat..

Well, you deal a lot with ratios, %, and fractions as flight is only possible because of the different air pressures above and below the wings as well as the air compression and ignition in the engine. When we did math we tried to figure out how small an engine could be vs a larger (heavier) plane, and how big an engine would still work for a tiny plane. We also did word problems like, how much fuel would we need to fly from our house to the Eiffel Tower.

Flight is so much fun from a Science, math and engineering standpoint. We did a unit on it last year.
