How do you teach two grades together with Well Trained Mind? (2 grades apart)

So my kids are two years apart. When my youngest is in K my older will be 2nd. I'm wondering when my youngest gets into K if you can teach them together using the suggested 4 year rotation the outline in the book? I know that you'd keep them at their appropriate level in math and grammar, but what about history and science?

I imagine teaching different history would be both time consuming and confusing (oh my part that is). So say that you can, is there somewhere someone has put together a chart or schedule that they've done or followed in implementing this?

It would be really neat if I could combine for some of their subjects so that I could spend more time on it and not feel rushed so I can teach both kids.

Anyone done this and want to share their schedule also?

I'm curious about this too. My kids are in K and 2 right now, and we are starting homeschooling next year for 1 and 3. I don't want to rush it either to teach to both.
