Math question

I am trying to prepare for next year and cannot find a math curriculum that is a good fit for us. This year we used Abeka and while I like it there is not enough review for my kids to truly master each concept before they move to the next thing. We have tried saxon and they both hated it.

I will need seventh grade math and pre-algebra. Any suggestions?

Thanks,

Nichole

We're using Saxon for ds, and my dd is using Kinetic Math.

Here is what we used http://www.videotext.com/homeschool.htm and my son just took a placement test for high school and he scored the highest score for his age she had tested...I'm convinced it's a good curriculum :)

We use MEPs a free math program.  All you do is print if you need to or you can order the books, http://www.cimt.plymouth.ac.uk/projects/mep/default.htm  We also tried Saxon and found it didn't work for us. We did ok with Scott Foresman but the best thing for us up to now is MEPs.

Thanks for your responses. We have already tried teaching textbooks and they hated it. I was very disappointed because I just knew they would like it. We only made it about 3 months with TT. I will look into the other programs mentioned.

DD is speeding through Teaching Textbook's Alg 2, headed toward Pre-Calc. We changed things up a bit to make sure she got a thorough Alg 2 curriculum. She really hates the lectures, though, and since they don't help her at all, we just skip them.
