I had that fear when I first began home educating (apx 20 yrs ago) but I realized that home educators fight, really fight for their right to educate their children.  But we decided as a family that if that ever did happen we would go into hiding. Our children would never go to a school.

My fear is that one day hs-ing may become outlawed and we'll all be forced to send our kids to public or private school.

I am a stay at home,  home educating, non-vaxingmother to many children :)  And a very happy wife to a wonderful man!!!

That I will fail in my commitment to it.

That my children will come home from their first day of college and say, "I can't do this. It's too hard."

I have not started homeschooling yet.  I am waiting on my curriculum to get here.  But, the biggest fear I have right now is teaching her to read.

I am sure that there will be more fears as we get started with our journey.

Our oldest is only 3, so we're just working on preschool type stuff. My two fears are that I'll have trouble staying organized enough and that I won't have a healthy balance of challenging them but not pushing them too hard.

Quoting Dawn07:

My fear is definately failing them, but then I sometimes fear that as a mother.
