Don't know where to start...

Hi everyone! I am looking into homeschooling my 8-year old son (3rd grade). He was diagnosed with leukemia in 2011, and we just found out he relapsed and will require a lot of hospital time this next year. I know that the PS has options for homebound (he needed it a couple times in the past), but since I am going to be with him 24/7 in the hospital I would rather do it if I could. I just don't know where to start, and I don't have a lot of money. I have looked up the state requirements, but from there I am lost... if you all could give me some pointers it would be much appreciated!

What state are you in? Personally would not do a heavy load at all. Do a lot of reading together and enjoy being together. I had a 7 yr old granddaughter that went through this.

lessonpathways.com is free and would fit in his age level.  It is a great resource.
