DH and I were wondering if a name brand dog food really makes a difference in the growth and health of our rottie Bo. We've tried a brand called into the wilderness or something that the vet recommended us but o-my-goodness did he stink! It would wake us up if he had an accident in the house. So we put him back on Ol'Roy since we didn't know what to get..So I need some help on what to feed our boy..Oh and dry food or can for your Rottie?.. We give him Dry just because..so share your wisdom ladies..lol

take him off olroy fed that to my dog for awhile and she had development delaysas she grew. you want to look for something that is natural less grain products more meat my dogs get a little boiled meat and diamond dog food lamb rice combo. we dont have all the allergy issues that we did have hope this helps.

I feed my rottweilers Science diet for large breed dogs. The vet reccomended it. They have the shiniest coats and look very healthy. I would not reccomend old Roy that dog food is just full of fillers. and they have to eat a lot. If you get the science diet you will notice that they eat less because they don't need as much food to stay healthy and fill them up. Good luck with your dog :)

Thanks ladies! yea we switched him to Eukanuba Rottweiler. The brand previous to using O'l Roy was called Into the Wild and it wasn't for an indoor dog, because he was stinky! Due to the variety of meat all in one. But we love the switch we have made!
