I am new to this group. I followed a link to someone who said something about rotties to here. lol...not sure how I got here now. I do love the rottie breed. Several years ago, a friend with a rescue group told me about Max, and my first reaction when I found out what breed he was was one of common ignorance. I wanted NOTHING to do with him. Well, I met him and fell in love with him and the breed. I didn't know they were such wonderful dogs. Then we got Jeena as well, also a rescue. When I got divorced I made the difficult choice to leave my rotts with the ex. Since then he's gotten married, and he doesn't want to keep the dogs. I've tried some rescue groups but they're full and cant help me. I wish I could take them, but I cant. As far as I know, they're not current on anything, and it's really sad to me that I had to leave them behind. Max and Jeena were both rescues when I got them, and it looks like they will be rescues again. I am working with a friend of mine to find them a new home.

At any rate, I didn't intend that to come out as a sales pitch. lol I meant to introduce myself. I'm Kim and I'm a divorced mom of 3, only one of which lives with me. I live with my boyfriend of 2 years and other pets (birds, fish, fancy rats, and outdoor dogs.) I work at a vets office as an assistant.

This is Faith, and she was my first Rotty.  My husbands parents gave her to him for Christmas 2003.  She instantly became my child.  Even my realistic kids called her their sister.  One year ago this month I had to let my husbands friend take care of her because we moved to an apartment and couldn't have her.  I never was able to get her back because that friend has lost her or whatever his story was.  I have pics of her on my PC and in my house and I pray to God everyday that we may be reunited someday.  I have never loved or miss an animal as much as I do her.  I currently am taking care of her brother Caleb and he is attached to me as much as she.  I never thought in my mind that I could ever love animals like my kids until I became a Rott owner.  They are a highly special breed that grabs your heart and won't let go.  So, HI to everyone in this group, I am Tracy and I have a total of 6 children and 1 grandson. I am new to Cafemom and excited about everything I have seen so far.  Hoping to hear from u soon.

Hi everyone, I have been lucky to have 4 rottweilers in my life time, all females. I now have a very special rottie that I have had for about 2 years. I adopted her from a local shelter about 2 years ago, when she was about 8mos old. I just got her back today (very long story).
Yes she is part of the family, I have 3 kids, 1 on the way and her.. I'm really glad to have her back home with us.

Hi, my name is Diana and I have always had at least one rottie all my life. Last august I lost my last rottie and untill yesterday was rottie free. I never knew just how much I missed having one around. She is a 4 month old female who is just a sweet heart. The lady who had her had just bought her a month ago from the breeder and she said that she just did not have the time for her. So, that is how I got my Trinity. She is a little on the thin side but still weighed in at
41 pds. She came home with me and just made her self right at home. She follows me every where and cries when she can't find me. She gets along great with my other 3 dogs and just loves my kids. I'm so glad that I got her, I just don't know what I'd do with out her now.

Hi my name is Kami I am new to this group.  I searched Rottweilers and found it.  We had a Rotti  that we adopted when we were stationed in England he had to be put down December 2003 , he had bone cancer.  We then adopted another Rotti in late February on 2004 (other dog was heart broken to be alone).  Ihave to say that they are the biggest babies that I have ever had.  On the same note I dare someone to mess with me or my kids.  He is very protective of us.  The love they give is amazing!!  Our rotti now has very bad hips, so at the age of 4 he may not be with us much longer.  They are so bad that they are not recommending surgury so we just pray for him all the time.  He is doing well sometimes to "dumb" to know that he should not play so hard.  I would not give my Rotti for anything!!

Hi my name is Cally, I have loved rotts for a long time but just got my first one in August. She was 6 weeks when I got her for my birthday, at that time she was smaller than my pomerainian not anymore. I wish I had not waited so ling to get one, I love her to death.
My son picked her for me and said the reason he picked her was she kept going under a bench and picking flowers. He insisted she have a flower name. Thats how I got my Lillie.
