That's so messed up!! My DD is pretty much the same way and she's 8. My DH said someone would be getting a foot in their ass if that happened to us.

Do you know what you're going to do about it? What'd the school have to say?

That also happened to us with our special needs son...the bus driver let him off several blocks from home and thanks be to God it just so happened that my husband took a different route than he normally does and found our son just walking around pretty much aimlessly. You talk about LIVID!!!! There are no words to explain what went through my mind...I was up at the school the very next day....I spoke with the principle, supervisor of the transportation department and the Superintendent. The bus driver ended up being terminated but I wasn't happy about that because the driver was brand new and didn't know anything. So I spoke with the Director of Special Education and the Superintendent (again) and made them implement a new training process for all transportation personnel except for those who don't drive (like the mechanics). It was then that I felt better about that situation and its needless to say that it has never happened again! I do thank God that your daughter was returned safely.

The Spirit of The Lord says so...

The law is on your side Call an emergancey IEP meeting! Demand! Demand That your child have an aid with her between every class to check her on and off the bus. To stay in class with her even do to the school negliance Federal Law Mandates This!!!! Individual Education Plan. You demand it. You have a right to it and thay have to abide by it!!!
