youngest now needs tubes

i just wanted to let everyone now that my youngest now needs to have tubes put in his ears.

 how did they determine that? did you take him for a hearing test and they told you? my son may need them too, i'm trying to get as much info as possible.

i found out when he failed a hearing test recently. the doctor gave him 3. months to clear out the fluid on his own it did not happen so he will be getting tubes on wednesday morning.

he failed a hearing test so he went to an ent. the ent said he would see if it cleared on its own when he did not they said it was time for surgery.

 Have you been through the procedure before? My son is on his 4th set. It's a quick thing and super easy recovery.

it it his very first set. they said the procedure only takes 20 minutes.

my daughter has her second and third set.. its a easy surgery. They are in and out. Take cultures send it to the lab. But it is nerve wracking to me..

My oldest has had tubes twice now. My other 2 have never had an ear infection!

I blame it on my mom refusing to smoke outside of our house so Bryan was constantly around cig smoke as a baby. When i was about to have Kevin i told her "smoking outside only or we're out" and she smoked outside... I think thats why Kevin & Mason have been Ear Infection Free...

Tho Kevin's had swimmers ear...

 That just seems so scary! My dd had emergency surgery on her stomach at 1 month. I know its way different, but its still stressful and scary to have your child having something done to them and you can't be there with them.
