Where are you from?
I ofter reply from Virginia, However I am originally from California.
How do you answer this question especially if you have moved often? Where do you claim home is? Where you currently live or where you originated from?

I'm Amy and I unfortunately I live in Southwest Georgia.  We have lived here less than 2 years.  I moved here from North NJ,  I love it there and miss it greatly.  I am originally from Florida, but I don't claim it often!!

i was born in Harrisonville, Mo; when i was 2 y/o my parents moved the family to a farm located about 5 miles from Baldwin City , Ks, between Lawrence and Baldwin.  their motive for doing this was to be close to Baker University, a school they admired, sponsored by the Methodist Church, of which they were members.  their reasoning was that if we lived close enough to the school some of us kids might be able to get our higher education there without breaking the family bank.  when i was about 12 or 13, my Dad retired from the farm, and moved us into Baldwin.  my next move was after i graduated from Baker University, and moved to Topeka, Ks to work in the local public library.  i lived in a rented room and in a couple of rented apartments while i was single.  after i married my hubby, we moved into a trailer(still in Topeka); then came our first baby, after which we moved into a double wide trailer.  when our 2d child was about 5 y/o, we purchased and moved into a house in a development(previously known as Cullen Village, now known as Montara)  that had been military housing for Forbes Field in the '60s, and that is where we live to this day.  i was never a fan of moving, so we didn't move any more than we had to.

Hi my name is Alex (user name beeky).  I was born in Birmingham, England to a British dad and a Canadian mum.  When I was 10 months old we moved to Montreal, Quebec, Canada.  When I was 22 we went to England where I met my paternal family, aunts, uncles, cousins and even my grandmother for the first time.  I also had a holiday romance with my cousins best mate.  Not long after I turned 23 I moved to England (South Warwickshire) to be with him and married him two years later (we have been married 19 years).  We then moved to Hereford, England  when he was promoted to his company's plant there. Both of our daughters were born there.  In 1998 I was feeling quite homesick after a summer trip home to Canada to visit my parents, so I asked my husband on a spur of the moment whim, what he thought about moving to Canada and he said ok much to my shock and surprise.  He filled out the immigration forms and 4 months later his application was approved and in September 1999 we moved to Ontario, Canada where we still live today.  In February 2006 he became a Canadian citizen and we now all have dual citizenship.

Toodles, Alex.

I'm Julie, originally from St. Paul, MN (1/2 the Twin Cities).  Currently, I live in Gardner, KS about 30 miles South of Kansas City (KS & MO).  Gardner is a semi small town (pop. 17,500).  It was in a "growth boom" 7 years ago when we moved here & went from 5,000 to 7,500 people in this town.  Now, it's growing again (or more).  I love the Twin Cities, the arts, the culture, the tthings to do with kids.  Kansas City has a lot less to offer & I find myself "looking" for different things to do.

I am from Cowboy country,(wyoming). I have lived here for the last 26 years. For a year I lived down south but came home. Left a ex down there and have 3 great kids. Miss the food but not the drama.
As of right now we have snow on the mountains in my back yard. I love the clean air and the wide open spaces. It is almost 100 hundred miles to the nearest Wal-Mart. Wish i was better at using the computer as I would put pictures of my back yard on here.

I was born and raised in California until I was 13. We then moved to Oregon. After joining the Coast Guard at 18 and moving around for the next 20 years. I am back in Oregon.
I often don't know how to answer this question. Right now I say Oregon since I graduated HIgh School here, not that that defines where you are from but it seems easier.
I have also lived in Massachusetts, Alaska and back to California. I feel that I have spent too much time in California. But parts of it are great!!
That is my store in a nutshell.

Well, when I am asked the question I ask if they want to know where I am from originally or the last place I lived....
I am originally from South Dakota, I lived there for 8 years til my parents divorced.  My mom moved us to North Dakota where we met my step-dad, we lived there for 2 years or so.  Next up is California, I lived there for 13 years.  I moved to Kentucky with my parents to get a change of scenary, I met my husband there.  Now here comes the fun part...we went from Kentucky to Georgia to Florida to Tennessee and now finally to Alabama.  Whew!
Hopefully we will be in Alabama for longer than 2 years.  It is getting harder to move now that we have 2 children.
