We have a 3 1/2 yr old daughter. She had seizures just before she turned 3 months old. we still don't know what caused them. Her biggest delay is speech but she has developmental delays all across the board. She's a smart kid and so easily frustrated that she can't express herself. She was put on Phenobarbital for the seizures and much later we were told that it can cause developmental delays (gee thanks for telling us that at the get go doc!). She is currently in school where she receives speech and occupational therapy. She has sensory issues too so I'm very glad for the break school gives me. She is also allergic to nuts. so we have several issues going on. she can be a great kid and she's easy to love, but she can also be a monster. her nicknames include "hurricaine abby" and "the tasmanian whirlwind".
