Looking for Companionship or Activity within the Same Development Issue

I wanted to join a group for my grandaughter to meet others within her same capacity.  Her parent's are divorced, and work.  They give her all she needs (necessities) but she would like to have play dates with someone who has the same issues as she does.  She is slow.  Can someone recommend a group I can contact?  Really would appreciate the help.

How old is your granddaughter? If she is between birth and 3 years you should contact Early Intervention and see if they have a play group. Does she have a diagnoses? Maybe you could call the local chapter of the orginization that supports children with her condition. Just an idea I know it is hard to find a play group.
