Hello everyone! This thread is a place for us to post and keep track of our goals for our DD children. They can be goals from school or everyday personal goals.
Spring/Summer goals run from April-August
Fall/Winter goals run from Sept-March
Fall has arrived and winter is soon to follow!
Now is the time to post those Fall/Winter goals! Be sure to come by and update anytime your child reaches a goal or anytime you think of a goal you want to add.
I look forward to hearing from everyone and supporting and celebrating together!
Goals for Jerry:
1. Continue work with PECS and become better able to communicate his needs/wants Getting better at bringing things to me/dad when he wants/needs them (i.e. his cup, bag of cereal). Less temper tantrums since he's figured out he can ask for things in this way. Making communication picture book so that he can have options at meal/snack times.
2. Learn to nod head for "yes" and "no" Getting pretty good at nodding "yes", but it's more of an imitation than and answer to a question. Well, I guess it's a starting point..
3. Learn to scribble. (tolerate holding crayon) Was doing well with this, but now refusing to hold crayon again..no interest :(
4. Better tolerate spoon feeding/ begin feeding self with eating utensils *Working hard on this one, Making slow but sure progress!*
5. Potty training Jerry will sit on the potty without much fuss, but just doesn't seem to know why he is sitting there. No progress with this. BIG GOAL for us..
1.) get willy thru his dental surgery than start on him feeding himself again.(has been needing help to feed again. I think its cause he keeps hitting his teeth that are coming in)
2.) start writing letters and numbers with curves in them(like c, o, n. he does well on straight lined letters but is slow progress on his curved letters but is getting better)
