AWESOME DAY!

Willy had an awesome day at school. Only a 5 min tantrum when they had the tornado drill today. He used his go talk(the schools communicatior) for everything the teacher asked him for or to do. He rolled a toy all by himself!! He picked up the toy he was rolling and turned it upside down all by himself! He said "DRINK" when he wanted his milk!! School has never heard him say it yet but he has been saying it off and on for a few weeks for us at home. He has been a chatter box since i picked him up today, some words i can understand and some not. he was saying tish(his name for the teacher (trisha)) and the new aide that was working with him told him no but as soon as the teacher heard the new aide say that she rushed over and asked what she told him no for. The aide explained and than was corrected. Aide was told he was asking for the teacher and to praise him!!! Every time he said tish today he showed her something new!

Today in PT he walked in a gait trainer with no complaints and was propped up against a wedge so he could work on kneeling and propping up on his arms. He was scooting the wedge closer and closer to the edge (basically trying to crawl with out his arms). He is now sitting with no help for 2mins. That is a big improvement from last month when it was a minute.

best of all his dental surgery is set for dec 2. Maybe moved up quicker if someone misses their preop appt. I have been calling and calling their office since last thursday to get a date and finally got to talk to a dentist today!
