maybe auditory processing disorder?

 shes 2 and not talking shes had alot of ear infections and failed early interventions hearing test we go back for an ear nose and throat drs hearing test tomorrow  it could be she cant process some sounds which is y she thinks tada is 1 sylableim gonna ask the dr what he thinks

Ha, I just replied to your other post about the sleeping.  Please mention the sleep issues to the ENT - ESPECIALLY if she snores!!!

she does how did you know?when she was way little she stopped breathing in her sleep sometimes i know because sometimes i fell asleep while holding her

My son hadnt ever had an ear infection but he did have fluid in his ears. We got tubes in them. He wasnt talking but he used to which is another concern. He did snore also so he got his adnoids scrapped out. The dr said he would have "buzzard" breath for about a week and he wasnt kidding! Lol it does go away though. I hope things go well!

ok should i bring up that she snores and is having issues sleeping,and that i think she has auditory prossessing disoreder?

Snoring is not normal in children.  Stephen still snores when he's congested, but he WAS snoring all the time before, and he would wake up multiple times each night, and it was SO HARD to convince him to go back to sleep.  That's one of the things they look for with sleep apnea, which is what you are talking about.  Sleep issues can affect ALL areas of development for a kid.

the dr dismissed all my  concerns, but sheduled ear tube surgery next month

maybe she has angelman syndrome were gonna talk to the dr and see if theyres a genetic reason shes delayed on the second

is it possable that an auditiory processing dissorder is inheritated .i have central auditory processing dissorder

also how young can they be to test them for an apd?
