Hello everyone! :)
We only have a few more weeks for our spring-summer goals, so I wanted to check in to see how everyone is doing. Have any of your children's goals been reached? Getting close? Please reply with a progress report for us!
You might also be thinking about the Fall-Winter goals which we will soon be posting... Hey, where did the summer go??
Hope everyone has enjoyed a wonderful summer vacation! I look forward to hearing from everyone soon!
*HUGS*

Unfortunatley we did not meet any of our Spring or Summer Goals we have been having some issue with therapy this year and with the death of my mom and aunt i have not been concentrating my efforts with Zach that I should be...he is still doing really well in his wheelchair..but it is gonna be a while for his language cause this year he was finally diagonsed with Apraxia of speech and so it will be a while before we can learn words. Well now that i think about it we might be doing better on one goal..we still have meltdowns when we leave places but not as many and they dont last as long...so i guess that is my update..for now...yall have a nice week

Hi :)
I am sorry about the loss of loved ones in your family this summer..I know that would make it difficult to concentrate on goals for sure. :( *HUGS*
No worries, though! You can carry over these same goals to the fall-winter post. We will be doing the same. The only one we have been able to mostly meet is sitting at the table for dinner with the family without having a meltdown. Jerry is actually doing really well with that one, although he does still have his moments :)
Thanks for posting the update! Hope you have a good week as well
1.) Willy hold his own cup while drinking (we currently got a new ot so he sees her on tues 14 for an eval so hopefully we can get working more on this goal, he has been without an outside ot for 2 yrs not enough pediatric ots in my area)
2.) to be totally done potty training before school starts for 09-10 school year(he is using the potty quite regularly now and we use 45 diapers less than we did in jan.
3.) tolerate and walk in his kidwalk once we get it. I am extremely impatient on waiting for it. he seems to tolerate all the current loaner gait trainers but still throws a little fit when placed in them. Once in it he is fine and trys to take off before i finish strapping him in.
4.)To talk more on a regular basis weather it be signing or verbal. Although he has added a 10 new words. And his speech goals on his progress note went from 2s to 3+!(no progress-to little progress.
5,) TO feed himself more. He is able to get the food to his mouth just not in it.lol
6.) to walk with his braces and shoes on in the kidwalk
Out of all these goals he has met 2 of them. He can feed himself. He tolerates his walker when placed in it. But really working hard on the rest of them.
That is what I get for waiting to do cafemom after the pta website mess. Don't get me started on that thing....they have a new one and it is HORRIBLE!!!!!! So bad that it is causing my brain to have "system error"....if I see that message from it one more time...anyway.
We met the first 2 goals I posted about Robby liking the Kidwalk, and having a 500 word vocabulary. I did not do an exact count....but we are within 10% of it I am sure.
As for the Hokey-Pokey.....he wants to do it, he loves doing it.....but he refuses to do it independtly. I think if he wanted to he could......but as of right now he can't.
Because of the gall bladder thing, I didn't get to work with Robby on getting in and out of the Kidwalk by himself as much as I wanted to....so we didn't make that goal. But he can get in and out of the wheelchair by himself!!!! Unless we use the tie-down (most call it a seatbelt) then he can't get out by himself which is a good thing sometimes....like in parking lots!!!
