SHOULD MY 10 & 1/2 Y/O USE A FACIAL CLEANSER?

My DD is 10 and 1/2 y/o and lately I've noticed little red bumps on her nose(kind of like very small pimples) and I've also noticed her nose is a little bit oily (just her nose; I guess is the hormonal changes she is going through). She washes her face every morning with warm water only. I think she is too young for face cleansers (I use Garnier, but I think it's too much for her); what do you guys think? And if she needs one, what would you reccomend?

Thanks for your help hugs

Yes, she probably needs one, so acne doesn't become an issue during all the hormonal changes she is about to go through. My 11 year old DD uses Purpose by Johnson and Johnson. It is very gentle and not too drying. I get it at Wal-mart. She had the same issue with bumps on her nose, but it is gone since she started using that. She also uses Stridex pads for sensitive skin occasionally.

Yes... Get her taking care of it now before it becomes a real problem.

Try Neutrogena's Acne Wash...she needs something to keep the acne at bay, and that will do the trick.  Also, it's never too early to get her to use sunscreen as well...she' not too young to use facial cleanser.  You could also try Oxy pads with benzoyl Peroxide.  She doesn't need the extra strength ones, though..just try the regular ones.

I got my daughter an all-in-one cleanser/toner made by MD Skincare.  You can get it at Sephora.  It's easy to use and she really likes it,

Yes, I recently had to purchase a facial cleanser for my 10 year old too.  I noticed she was starting to get blackheads, so we want to get it under control before it can really start getting bad.

*I purchased Clearisil (sp?) Daily Facial Cleanser
