Has your daughter had her first period? If so when did she start? If not what are her feelings about starting?

Well my daughter is 12 y/o going on 13 next month and started her period a couple months ago. It's been a lil difficult in the sense that since it's still not a regular period. She'll have a period twice a month or stop and start spotting again a couple of days later. So she always has pads in her backpack or with her. Dr. said it could take up to a year and a half to have her regular flow or her real period. Awww what we females go through.
my daughter got her period one year ago. she was eleven years old. at first she was excited to be an official woman, now she hates it, doesn't like the cramps or feeling like crap. the only good part is she says she is not a little girl any more. she has the mood swings that come along with it. and she can be cranky.
Amy is 11 and has had hers just over a year now. Since she is a year behind in school, she felt very alone intially and is glad to have more friends who have started now.

She hasn't started yet but in the past 5 months her body has been growing RAPIDLY. She has started wearing a training bra b/c her shirts don't look "appropriate" when she doesn't have one on. She has also told me about hair growing in her private area. She is in the 5th grade now and 2 of her classmates have started this year.

I have twin girls who were 12 the end of may. One got her 1st period on Halloween of this year and is now in the middle of the 2nd round She is my drama queen and boy did that come out when she got it. They had both been looking forward to it, couldn't wait for it to start until it did!!!She also is not shy and wanted the whole world to know so I had to keep reminding her who it was Ok to tell and who it wasn't. My other daughter is very slightly built and less developed so for her I know it could be a while. So while she is excited for her sister I can tell she is jealous that it hasn't happened for her yet. Her sister also needs a bra and she doesn't.
