I had to make her mess up her room!

My DD is very OCD about her bedroom! To the point where she won't invite a friend over. She won't tell me that is why but after I cleaned the basement and told her they could play down there then she was excited to invite someone over. My husband and I were out in the family room watching movies when the girls approached us about sleeping on the couches. DD has 2 mattresses on her bed for the soul purpose that when a friend stays the night they can slide one to the floor for the guest. But she kept coming up with all these excuses for why they can't sleep in her room and finally it came out..."I don't want to mess my bed up" REALLY??? I told her "You will sleep in your bedroom and you can clean it back up tomorrow! We are not retreating to OUR bedroom just so you don't have to mess up your bed!" So she pouted off to her bedroom and rest assured as SOON as they woke up that next morning she had her friend helping her put everything back together (meanwhile the basement was left a mess!). She is so the opposite of me when I was a child! lol

LOL! Same here! I keep telling her she will be warmer at night, that her comforter is also there to COVER her when she sleeps. Not just decoration! She don't care...

That is so weird. I wish mine were like that. I guess that's a good thing.

mine won't sleep under her comforter either, but unfortunately it's just because she doesn't want to be bothered with making the bed every morning! lol, crazy girl

I have a boy, and so he could care less how his bedroom looks when friends come over. He just tells me that all his friend's rooms are messy too when he goes over to their house. But I still make him pick it up some.

how did you friends feel about helping her clean her room? This is a big ordeal in my house if she has friends over and if every one plays and makes a mess that they aren't aloud to go home until it is clean and my DD knows the same applies to her when she goes over any ones house as well. I had so many kids in the past just come over to play and trash her rooms and then say oh I going home and I wasn't putting up with it so all the kids new the rules of my house and I never had any one have a issue with picking up, it is funny one of the parents said how do you get them to do it at your house I cant get them to do that at home. LOL.
