Does she need help getting organized? Have you tried having her maintain a calendar of assignments and due dates?

I make my son do the missing assignments anyway, even if it's too late to get credit for them. He has to turn them in. After spending a few weekends doing the missing assignments, he finally started keeping up with them better. I make him do them even if he has already done them and then lost them.

Does your school have an online grading system where you can monitor her grades?

My son, also in 6th grade, has missing assignments at least once a year. One year it was 80+ missing and this year there were several as well. We suspended him from his first basketball game. He was grounded. He also knows that if it happens again he will not just be grounded but the bed will not exist, only blanket and pillow, his tv and everything with it will be gone and he will be doing school work + whatever other work we can find for him to do. He hates cleaning the floor and baseboards with a toothbrush. I know how you feel.

What is your after school process?
What is your homework routine?

Amen to your post, we did take everything away from her, explaining that it's all a privledge to have it if she can stay on task at school. I told her next is the bed! LOL I will keep taking things away until she figures it out. I also made a list of more involved chores. She doesn't seem to care that her phone and iPod are gone, ugh! I just want to scream!!!!

Yes, that's how we knew the assignments are missing, the teachers do not communicate so that's are only way of seeing what is missing. Thanks for your help! ;)
