So I got my ds to open up yesterday...
Turns out he still really has a crush on the same girl since the beginning of the year.
Thr problem is she won't talk to him. Won't even tell him hi... she as he daid hangs out with the popular kids and he doesn't.
I talked to him the best I could but I feel so bad for him.
My son is adhd and can be very immature and annoying...lol but I want him to be true to himself, and not change just because of some girl.
He is a very nice and polite compassionate guy andi hate seeing him heart broken
Any advice would be appreciated.
Btw he is 11 1/2

Wish I had some words of wisdom but I don't. We all know that this will be the first of many heartbreaks a child will suffer and there is no easing that pain.
Refocus his attention away from the girl (without him knowing of course)

Your poor son. All I can say is that I would let him know that any girl/lady that is not attracted to him for who he is isn't worth it in the long run. I would just encourage him to keep being himself.
