Have any of your kids flown as a unaccompanied minor? If so at what age? If not what age do you think would be appropriate?

I have decided he isn't ready maybe next year! His grandparents were not happy but I don't care! He is my kid and I will decide, when he is old enough!

Mine have not. However, I flew as a UM when I was 12. My niece was 14 her first time. My friend's granddaughter was about 6.

You know they are pretty much NEVER alone, right? There is a flight attendant with them at all times from drop off to pick up.

I was just saying that some parents have the misconception that they are not with the flight attendants the whole time. So I wanted to share my experience, which is that they are virtually never out of the attendant's sight.
