I'm so tired this morning. I actually feel like I'm hung over.

Last night I called my Mom around 9:00 to let her know we finally got our garden tilled and we can finally plant.

Only to hear that she wasn't sounding like her normal self. she was slurring her speech, sounding very tired and not making much sense.

She wasn't home either. She had pulled in to a Tim Hortons parking lot. I'm so glad she did. She was in no condition to be driving.

She's a diabetic. Her sugar had to have been severely,or deathly low. After two donuts and an orange juice and an hour later her sugar was only 121!

This is when she also told me she has to go see a kidney specialist. She had severely high protien in her urine. I don't think that's a good thing. Well, I know it's not a good thing but I'm worried her kidneys are starting to fail.

I'll research it later. I can't bring myself to do it right now. I have to get through work first.

Diabetes will just eat away at you.

Christine, I'm glad that you called her right then, but I am sorry to hear that she is having issues. Please keep us posted on what the speacialist says. My aunt is type 2 so I know how scary it is. Praying for your mom. Hugs!

It's a good thing you called when you did!  I hope all works out for the best.

We are expecting bad storms with the possibility of tornadoes.  It would be wise of me to just stay home, but I really wanna travel 45 minutes to have dinner at Cracker Barrel.

We got some nasty stuff in my neck of the woods as well.  Stay safe.

This is going to sound silly, but I feel like I'm being left behind by all of my friends.  My oldest son is moving on to middle school and so are the children of my closest friends.  The problem is, my youngest son is still in elementary school, 3rd grade.

Thank you. I am too. I debated on calling or not. I was tired and ready to go to bed but for some reason I told myself to just call. God works in mysterious ways:)

I hope she called to make her appointment. She's so sick of going to the Dr.'s all of the time I have to nag her to make appointments.

My Mom is also type 2. Please tell me your Aunt takes good care of herself?
