I'm not a member of the group but I sometimes peek at the post and there are some crazy things that people put in there. I read one post where someone is losing their PA because they can't live off of $2200 a month... um that is what my family of 5 lives off of every month and it is her and her 2 kids. I wish I had the money to put my dd in dance and my middle son in karate but it just isn't happening until I finish school and can work next year.

I find that when the anonymous feature is available you have all kinds of weirdos crawling out of the walls telling all kinds of crazy stories.  I'm betting that most of the stories aren't true and most of the anonymous posters are trolls looking for attention and kicks.

I feel that if you can't say something under your screen name, then you shouldn't say it at all.

BTW - I avoid that group like the plague and am not a member.

I've never been Member of that one. But when the Anonymous feature is added, people go all stupid. Hard to believe some of them are Women.

Not defending her PA choice ... BUT ...

$2,200/ month isn't enough for my family of four. But we love in AK. Mortgage alone is $995. I make $2,200 and it covers bills solely (and were not extravagant, no cable/satellite, no car payments, etc.). Whatever my DH brings home feeds us and keeps gas in our trucks.

But we're not on PA either.

We pay $900 a month in rent, but we don't have credit cards, no cable, but our internet is only $27 a month which helps. We do have a fairly new car. This mom was complaining because without fs she can't put her dds in swimming lessons or gymnastics. I can't do those things either, but it is a part of life, I hate it, but I suck it up.

I am a memeber of that group, and it is drama central. I only reply to offer actual advice on car seat issues, child support, etc...

and the ocassional vent on the woman who was SELLING left over WIC formula. I realize the stores won't take it back, but um... food pantry donation?
