What's your tween's "special something" to take away as punishment?

As Wyldbutterfly and others have suggested, taking away privileges or that "special something" each child loves or likes to have does help with disciplining....do you agree?

If so, what is your child's "special something" to take away?  is it TV time, video games, phone, etc?

1st thing to go is Computer. If problems still persisit then the TV and DS go as well. By step 3 she's on kitchen duty until further notice as well as lost TV, computer, and DS.

TV is one of our immediate takeaways.  The other thing is sleepovers.....she gets invited or has friends over often.

Summer's are pretty easy- I can threaten to take away pool time and that usually does the trick!

iPod and cellphone, then outside privileges. I only take away outside time as a last resort. I don't want to limit exercise.

PS3 time is first, 2nd is computer time. Usually they try to behave fairly well because they love their one hour a day of PS3 time (going to be even less when school starts back).
