My 13 year old just came to me and showed me his scraped finger. I said, "well rinse it off and it'll be alright." he said "uhhhh....I really miss when you used to kiss my boo boo's." LMBO! And you bet I kissed it! Lol!

It always surprises me, too.  My 10 year old daughter is a very mature and serious individual...but every once in awhile she will call me mommy and she will get upset if I don't say our "goodnight poem" that I have told them every night since all three of my girls were babies.  I think your post is a great thought of the day!

My 18 yo son will still fight with the younger kids to sit by me when we watch TV and go out to eat, LOL.

When my 9 year old cut her finger awhile ago, she was crying and I dealt with it. Then she said in a very young voice, "thank you, momma.".
