I will talk to my husband tonight when he gets off work and see if he knows of any. He works with computers and in IT and is pretty up-to-date on this stuff.

My husband said there is a program called Dragon. It is kind of expensive but it is good.

My work uses a program call Dragon Speak.

If you go to Best Buy, ask them about the transcription equipment and software. They might be able to help you.

To be honest, I'm not sure how well those softwares work yet. My co-worker that used to use it still had to do a lot of verbal "editing" to create a letter. I'm not sure if it would be able to help your son yet at this age. I could type a letter a lot faster than my co-worker could create one using Dragon Speak.
