Check w/ the high school. In our area, some of the honor students do tutoring.
I agree with Wakymom. Other than that you are probably not going to find someone to do it for free.
As suggested above, check with the school. Sometimes the teacher will volunteer to tutor half an hour before school starts or after school. Or they will have another student tutor the child. Outside of the school, it's most likely gonna cost you something per day or by the hour.
I would tutor online, but it won't be free....
I agree with the PPs-- National Honor Society is usually the way to go, because I think they're required to do community service. Call your child's guidance counselor.
I don't live in Florida, but our local libraries have free tutoring sessions. They even help with supplies for projects. Most of the tutors are high school and college volunteers.
