Horse drawn carriage rides?

Have never done one... I think it would be a neat experience and DS would love it, but not sure it's something I would do more than once.

i have done it a few times, once in NYC at Xmas time and it was wonderful, another time in the summer in charelston, SC and i never want to be that close to a horses back end in 100+ heat! they have a bag that is attached to them and it catches the poop as they walk, and before the ride starts they have to stick a thermometer in its ass to check to see if it is overheated and needs a rest.

I've never seen the bag before. Yeah, in that kind of heat, it would be really smelly. Yuck.
