Hi ladies! My name is Lanessa. Im 27 and I have 2 girls...Jayla (1 month) and Jamirah (8 yrs). Technically she's not a tween yet but we're almost there. However I'm definitely seeing the mood swings and my sweet baby girl is not my baby anymore. She's becoming a young lady that has her own life now. Soooo Im here to get some advice and tips on how to stay as sane as possible now that I have a newborn. I look forward to meeting some of you girls as well =)

Hi all! New to cafe mom...and new to the Tween scene. My son just turned 11 last month and I feel like I have a whole different child on my hands lately! Hoping to find some good parenting advice, and just to know I am not the only mom on the planet wondering how to parent during this new phase of life! :)

Hi, I'm Allison.   This seems to be the right place.   My daughters are 8 and 11.   I think they are typical of girls their age -- sweet and loving most of the time, but capable of driving mom crazy!   LOL!   The older will be 12 in Nov.    She is beginning to get into "teen angst" and  challenging her parents, esp. me.    My own mom has already said I'll get no sympathy from her in parenting an adolescent daughter!    She calls it "pay-back time."    LOL!
