My sons Cub Scout den is making log cabins out of tree branches for table center pieces. What do you think would be the best way to glue them? Something that will dry fast enough so someone can take them home that night to store them until the banquet. My first thought was hot glue. Any othe suggestions?

Hot glue but tacky glue is ideal also

Hot glue or try string to tie them into walls and then tie walls together. Useing twine would be rustic.
