My cousins wife called me 2 days ago and told me that her son (D) and my son (M)were watching porn on Ds phone a few nights ago at a sleep over and ran up the phone bill over $150. I basically told her it was her fault for allowing her son to have an iPhone with unlimited/unsupervised internet. Im sorry that they ran up the bill but that's just one reason as to why my son only has a rinky dunk prepaid phone with NO internet.

I immediately came home and grounded my son from his phone, iPod, t.v. and any other electronics and I spanked him.

Do you think I should gave offered to pay half of the bill? My son said it was Ds idea and he didn't want D to not sleep over. (I know M is not as innocent as I would like him to be.)

No, I wouldn't pay for 1/2 of the phone bill! Do you know it's illegal to view porn if you're under 18? Furthermore, why didn't she have MORE supervision of the kids?

You are a great mom for having a phone with no Internet !!! My 13 year old doesn't have internet on his phone for exactly this reason!

My son doesn't even have picture messaging, as kids at school were circulating pics of their body parts .....

It's hard to raise a morally conscious child these days...

Keep on keeping on mama!

I wouldn't pay either. They were under her supervision! My SS has looked at inappropriate things on his iPhone and computer multiple times. He is 13, his phone was take. Away again by his mom, we will see if she actually follows through this time and doesn't let him have one again.

My boys have inexpensive phones with Internet access blocked, no picture texting and no Facebook accounts, or access to computers without supervision. They basically can call/text and that's all they need to do. I believe giving them an iPhone is like putting a loaded fun in their hands, open opportunity and curiosity isn't nessecerily a great combo!

NO, I wouldn't pay half either.  It happened on her watch, on her son's phone.  Its not your fault that she is too stupid to properly supervise her child's internet access.  Think about how much porn they had to view to rack up $150 worth.  It isn't like they watched for just 5 minutes while she was occupied.  KWIM?

your discipline for your son was enough, it's her fault for giving her 11yo an iPhone. If she can afford his data plan and such, she can afford the $150 overcharge. She should have warned him also of going past the limit, and if she did, then D should work for it.
