How much sleep does your tween get?

My son usually goes to bed by 8:30 and he's up anywhere between 5:30-6:30.  So he usualy gets about 9-10 hours of sleep per night.

bedtime on the weekdays is around 9. They get up at 6.

Weekends and summers there is no bedtime.

9:00 usually in bed, gets up at 6:30. We shoot for 8:00 bedtime (she's 12) but too much homework usually makes that impossible.  :(

10 year old is in bed at 8:30, lights out 9:00, 12 year old is in bed at 9:00, lights off at 9:30.  10 year old is up right before 7 so 10 hours of sleep, 12 year old is up a little after 7 so 9 1/2 or so.  At least that is our weekday plan, the half hour before lights out is for reading.

Weekends they both go to bed between 9 and 10.

Bedtime for my 11 year old DD is 9 on week days and 10:30 on weekends. For 13 year old DD, it is half an hour later for both. They have to wake up at 7:10 on week days.

My 12 year old daughter goes to bed 9:30 and my 14 year old goes to bed at 10. I wake them both both between 6:30 and 7.

That's great! I wish mine would get that much. I believe 10 hours is the recommended amount for this age group. Mine gets in bed by 9:30, but reads for a bit. Lights out at 10. But she's still up at 10:30 sometimes 11! I wake her up at 6:30a for school.

It depends on how much trouble he's had getting to and staying asleep (he sometimes has issues w/ that, just like his dad). Most nights, he gets 9.5-10 hrs sleep- on school days, bedtime is 9, he goes to sleep anywhere from 9:30-10, and gets up at 7:30.
