HI!!

MY GIRLFRIEND IS DOING A FUNDRAISER AT HER SCHOOL AND THE CLASSROOM IS IN CHARGE OF PUTTING TOGETHER A "GIFT BASKET" TO AUCTION OFF AS WELL AS A "GROUP CLASSROOM" PROJECT THAT ALL THE KIDS HAVE TO PARTICIPATE IN (I THAS TO HAVE SOMETHING TO DI WITH THEM; HANDPRINTS, PHOTOS, ETC;)

ANY IDEAS FOR SOMETHING REALLY FUN AND DIFFERENT?? ALL THE NORMAL THINGS OF COURSE, SPA BASKET, MOVIE BASKET, GIFT CARD TREE, ETC; ETC;, BUT ANYTHING FUN AND REALLY NEAT THAT WOULD REALLY BE REMEMBERED THAT ANYONE HAS SEEN OR HEARD OF??

AND FOR THE CLASSROOM ONE, ANY IDEAS ON WHAT THE KIDS COULD DO TOGETHER? IN THE PAST THEY'VE DONE HANDPRINTS ON A BENCH, A QUILT WITH ALL THEIR PICTURES; LOOKING FOR SOMETHING THAT WOULD BE "COOL" ENOUGH FOR 7TH GRADE, BUT YET ONE THAT PARENTS WOULD WANT TO "BUY" AT AUCTION...THANKS FOR ANY HELP

RACHEL

I don't know where you live but my DD's also does the baskets every year. Classes do "pampered pet" themes.  They always crack me up that they are popular!
And the most popular one is usually tickets to a local sporting event , parking pass, food coupons, once there were even t-shirts made by a local family, that sort of thing.
Have you all made up a cookbook with the kids' favorite recipes?-it's not a big item but one that tends to sell well. You could have them write short stories or poems to print next to their recipes. Have them bring in several fave recipes and you could do a night where the kids make the recipes and serve it to their families for a charge of course! We have never added that part but it might be fun!
Last year one of my dd's 5th grade teachers made a video of still pictues from the school year with quotes from the kids-it even had kindergarten and 5th grade school pics in it. Quite touching and even made me cry a bit! They sold it to us, of course but it was worth it!

Good luck-finding new things is always a challenge!
