My baby has been suffering with SEVERE colic all her life (3 months)--

She screams constantly. Some days are decent, but most are difficult. We have brought her to the  hospital. They tested her stool, and urine and monitored her, sending us home with thickened feeds, zantac, and the diagnosis of colic, but they treated her for "silent" reflux just in case. The first week we came home from the hospital was great, than it went right back to normal. I even went to see a psychic and he gave his opinion. Has anyone tried a chiropractor? Not that I could afford one but if it worked I'd manage to save the money. Thank-you.

  • I take my son to the chiropractor since he was diagnosd w/ colic at 4 weeks , hes now 5.5 months and still going, the colic has subsided , but hes still gassy, but not as much.the chiro has helped tremendously. talk to your chiro about it, the baby may be covered if the insurance c overs it. I wish u luck.

  • The chiropractor did wonders for my daughter when she was a baby! I could go into more detail if need be, but yes, definately worth it!

  • I just made an appt with the chiro today for my 3 1/2 wk old twins.  I saw the chiro when I was preg and he said he could see them after they were born if they got colic.  My sister brought my niece to the chiro when she was a year old because within the first year of her life, she had tonsilitis 8 times.  The chiro adjusted her and to this day (she is 21 yrs old now) she has never gotten tonsilitis again.

  • that is definately NOT a stupid ?? they work on the babies back and lower abdomen,(lower extremities with an activator)) what my chiro. uses, it looks kinda like a cork that snaps on different area of the baby, they know all of the areas that work the digestive track and muscles, etc. my son goes once a month, STILL , and he's almost 9 months. but is doing so much better then he was at 4 months.

  • I'm so happy to here you guys say that the chiropractor works.  My son is 8 weeks on Wed. and he has been diagnosed with Acid Reflux.  He screams pretty much on and off all day long.  I am losing  my mind!  I have to go back to my full time job in a week, and am heartbroken to think that I have to leave him with somebody else while I'm at work.  I have made an appointment for tomorrow to take him to the chiropractor, but am wondering if anyone knows how quickly it can work with the colic or acid reflux?  Any advice would be much appreciated.
