I am at my wits end and don't know what to do. I am a mother of 2 older daughters and just had another one in Dec so she is 6 weeks old. She has been crysing and screaming for the past three weeks in what seems to me like pain. I have tried two types of Gripe Waters on her, Mylicon drops, putting her in her swing, bouncing her, white noise, her classical CD and nothing works. She is a breastfeed baby exculsively and I try nursing her to see if that will help calm her down but nothing works. She screams so loud that it is a high pitch cry where she pulls her arms and legs in and her lil tummy gets so tight, I am afraid that she is going to wake up the other two girls. She is so tired by the time she does fall asleep that she isn't sleeping well. She is restless. Any advice will help! Thank YOU!!!!
i wish i could help you :( i went through the same thing for seven months. the only, and i mean ONLY thing that helped my daughter was taking her to the chiropractor. he was very gentle with her and she calmed down instantly. he took a small tool and clicked a spot in her back that relates to her stomach, which eased her pain. we took her back every week and soon she didn't need to go anymore. i really urge you to try the chiropractor.. i know it sounds rough for babies, but it really wasn't... and it helped so much. my daugher is now almost ten months old and perfectly happy. good luck and hang in there.
my baby has all sorts of scream, but when she would do that one (pulled in limbs, balled up fists) i found that chamomile tea in warm water would soothe her. it's all natural with no caffeine so it's safe enough for babies. we would give it to her a little after her bottle and rud her belly a little and it helped so much. most times she ended up tooting up a storm while we did it, but it settled her to where she'd go to sleep. it doesn't always help her crying but it's something new to try. good luck!
