  • Do you nurse or bottle feed.

There is a syrup I believe is called Kero(?) syrup sold in grocery stores.  You can give the baby a little to the baby and it will help with the constapation.  As far as the colic, I understand what you are going through.  Both of my kids were colic and I thought I was going to lose my mind.  Give warm baths, massage the tummy. A baby nurse who helped me told me feet massage with red lavendar oil.  Red Lavendar oil is very difficult to find as it is not sold in your typical store.  I used regular lavendar and massaged their tiny feet concentrating on the inner soles and working my up to the toes.  I purchased the Fischer Price swing that could either swing like a regular swing or side to side.  They say the side to side movement is good for colic babies.

Keep strong as this will pass.  My kids are now 7 years old and 3 1/2 years old.

If I can offer you any additional support, please feel free to contact me.

  • There are alot of things you can try. Gripe water and mylocon drops should both be available at Walmart or even Kroger. Do you wear your baby at all? I would HIGHLY recommend that. It may seem like a hassle at first but it really helps you little one to release gas and get the bowels moving. Its something to do with the constant motion and positioning. It also allows them to be close to you which decreases crying. My son who is now two had horrible colic. I don't know how we would have made it through without a baby carrier. You may also want to visit your doctor and voice your concerns. He may suggest a change in formula or your diet. Good luck. Hang in there...this to shall pass!

  • Your not using soy formula are you? That stuff made my baby extremely constipated!! I switched to Nutrimigen and it really helped with the colic. Also, get "The Happiest Baby On The Block" video and watch it. It has a number of useful techniques that really helped me. Hang in there hun, it won't last forever!

  • My son also suffers from colic and I feel your pain. Why type of carrier did you use? Thank you for your support
