I would like everyone to share some tips about soothing babies with colic. Just share what worked for you and I am going to make a sticky for new members to refer to.

Also I would like to think of ways to keep this group active. I have found it is a hard group to maintain since most babies only go through colic for a few months. Any ideas would be very helpful. The best method I use to find new members is to search recent journal entries for Colic. If anyone has extra time and would like to help with the group please send me a message.

  • You can also use a MP3 player with a small speaker (like the one that some Pack'nPlays come with) but sometimes it not loud enough for my guy.  There are several noise tracks available for free download on the internet.  Just google something like MP3 blow dryer.

  • Ok, I KNOW that this is going to sound crazy, but go along with me.  Go to the store and buy Lemon Jello. My daughter had really bad gas for the first 6 weeks and we had no idea what to do. A teacher friend of mine told me about this and after a few days we could definitly see a major difference!  Make the lemon jello with half the amount of water required, put it in a gripe water syringe (bc that doesn't work at all, might as well make some use out of the purchase) before each feeding and it will calm the stomach and ease gas pains as well.
