It is Earth Week this week and I felt the need to share some information about the kind of products we are putting on our children and our self's. This is such a scary statistic, one in two adults have cancer. That means either my husband or I will end up with cancer. Even scarier is that either my daughter or my son might end up with it.
1. Did you know that in a lot of our mascaras there is an ingredient called Guana, otherwise defined as BAT POOP?
2. Did you know our cosmetic products were banned in European Countries a couple years back, do to all the cancer causing ingredients in them? They reformulated for European Countries right away but did nothing to change those same cosmetics in this county. There-for it is safer for you to buy your cosmetics from other Countries now, or through some health based business in ours.
3. Did you know that a lot of our shampoos and lotions have animal placenta in them and other animal by products, which adds a lot of hormones in them? As we all know extra hormones in our bodies cause our little girls to become women at earlier ages. I don't know about you but I want to keep my little girl little for as long as possible!!!
4. Did you know that the FDA does NOT regulate any of our personal care products, including our children's vitamins, our vitamins, make up, shampoos, soaps, lotions, etc . . ..? All they have to do is list the ingredients on the back and its on the shelf and we are expected to know what they are and what they do.
5. Did you know that there was a chemical in tampons a while back that was determined to cause cancer and they removed it from tampons but left it in our children's diapers?
6. Did you know our skin is our largest living organ? And what ever we put on it , i.e . . . birth control patch, cigarette patch, lotions, shampoos etc. . . all are absorbed into our blood stream with in a matter of minutes?
7. Did you know that Autism is a rising disease in our country and no one is sure if it is environmental or inherited through the parents, but isn't it strange that if it is not environmental that the number of cases still continues to rise?
8. Did you know a lot of the cleaning products you use in your home have many proved cancer causing ingredients in them. It is safer to just use agents that our earth gives us like: baking soda and vinegar? They work just as well I encourage you to try them.
All of the above information has encouraged me to keep organic products in my home. I know what I put on and in my children are Safe, Pure, and Benificial.
We live in a country were we feel falsely protected by thinking that all are products are safe for us when in fact they are not even regulated. I was under this same impression my self. Is any of this shocking or scary to you? Do you wish there was a way to incorporate safer products into your home? Products that still work well but are not loaded with chemicals in them? I know all of this among lots of other startling information has encouraged me to keep organic products in my home. I know my children now use safe products and they works so great. In most cases the products I use now are better then the other unhealthy products I was using on them before.
I know it is my personal goal to help people live healthier life's through incorporating safer more natural products into there homes. Is it any coincidence to you that all of a sudden companies like Crest Toothpaste and many others, are now offering a natural toothpaste and other products? They know what they have been putting in there products are not safe, and they know as a country we are on to them. We all are striving to live healthier lives and teach our children to do the same. This is a growing cause and I am a part of it. I am blessed to be a part of a company that offers not all but a lot of skin, hair, vitamins, weight loss, anti ageing, sunscreen products and much morethat are Pure, Safe, and Benificail products. I feel as if I am spreading the knowledge that people need to so desperately need to hear.
I hope what I have written has touched you in some way and that it has at least encouraged you to do your research. My children are my heart to me, and I only want the safest things for them. I encourage you to do the same.
