How was your day? I had a great day. My family was all together and I got to spend the day with my granddaughter.
we were all together. that was something to be thankful for. although everyone was moody, and at different times, so it was interesting. DH cooked, so the food was terrific.... as always. everyone was happier after they ate.....
It was a good day. We went to a family friends house for lunch where I only ate a small amount because I knew I was having people over to our house for dinner. Lots of family and friends. It's what the day is all about. And the grandkids always make the day great.
It was pretty good-the small portion I had. I worked last night and got up about 2:30...helped to finish cooking..we ate,my parents came over and then I left about 5:40. Off Fri and Sat night...looking forward to it..
Mine started off kind of rough, I couldn't keep from crying...lol This is the first time ever that I've been home for Thanksgiving and my mom wasn't here, and none of my kids were here. I called mom, who told me she was crying yesterday for the same reason ....... lol
It ended up being a very nice day though. My nephew's wife (they live next door) was cooking her very first Thanksgiving dinner, so she kept me running back and forth all day yesterday and this morning teaching her how to make some of our families dishes that my nephew wanted. My girls called several times, both of my brothers and their families came over, and mom and her husband came by for a visit this afternoon. All in all..not a bad day.
It was good even though my SIL said she was too stressed to have us for the family Thanksgiving....my son came over, helped fry the turkey with DH, DH and 2nd ds cleaned up we played the WII and hung out all cozy in our house with all 4 of our kids who could ask for a better day then that?
It was WONDERFUL!!!

The day was great minus the car incident ::sigh::Wonderful to spend time with my sons & of course dH ;)
I found out that it takes just as much time and energy to present a feast for 3 as it does for 14. Because of other commitments and nasty weather, only my son could join my husband and me.
Everyone survived.. That's always a good thing.
hectic, make dinner, ate, took a half hour nap and went to work with a migraine untill midnight.
