A movie date, he asked me out yesterday and I accepted.
Yesterday, My GS, 5yrs old asked me if I wanted to see a movie with him. So I said: sure! He tells me that we have to wait until today because he has to get everything ready. Then he starts cleaning his toy room, gets his stool, gets out an uncooked bag of popcorn, a blanket and two pillows and the Wizard of Oz movie. He put it all on the fouton in his toy room. So everything is waiting for us for tonight when I get home from work. I am so excited, I can't wait for my date with my little guy.
I just had to share, because I thought it is sooo stinking sweet!
***UPDATE***
The date was great! On my way home i stopped and bought some movie snacks and fountain drinks, just like at the movies. Then when I got home we ate dinner, then I popped the popcorn while he put the movie in. We snuggled up and ate popcorn and our snacks. We watched the Wizard of OZ, and every time the mean witch came on he would pat my leg and tell me "don't worry Nana, I will protect you", and he says I'm just like Glenda :-) When the flying monkeys came...I was protecting him LOL
I had a fabulous time! Best date EVER!
