Do you keep things stored in your home in strange places, maybe due to hiding it from a spouse, child or intruder? Or because storage space is limited?
My mom lives in a trailer, an older small one, space is VERY limited especially since she NEVER throws anything away.
Example, she has a suit hanging in her closet that she made in Home Ec in high school. My mom is almost 70!
Another example: she has all her lp records, dating back over 45 years.
So....... under her bed are boxes of can sodas. In her underwear drawer is chocolate, to keep away from my diabetic dad. In a Christmas tin in the living room it is full of rice! yes rice.
So do you keep things in strange places? Or is my mom a nut? lol
We only have two closets in our house, 4 bedrooms. Only one has a closet. So my clothes are in the "coat" closet in the livingroom. Which is a pain, in order to get dressed I have to go into the living room to get clothes, go to the bedroom and get dressed. I'm used to it but it is a pain.
I have all my vases in the dining room because I have no shelves or space in the living room. They sit on top of the computer stand that I use as a microwave stand , it also holds my cookbooks.
I keep buttons in a can in the kitchen....but my sewing kit is in the closet in my bedroom.
A loaded rifle on the dining room chair.
A loaded pistol on my sweatshirts in my closet.
Need some Time for You? Feeling stressed? Kick back, relax & take a break. If you're a woman who just wants to have fun, here's the place :)
I don't think she's crazy. lol I'm sure I did keep things in strange places and probably still do. I'll have to think about it and get back to you though. lol
If you buy something from the store and you would like to have it for yourself you had better hide it, or you won't get any. I tend to hide my Weight Watchers sweets or my husband thinks they are for him and my Fiber One bars from my kids.
I never had to hide anything from my kids. They were pretty good about not eating what they weren't supposed to. I did hide extra candy (when we had too much) in my tins on top of the kitchen cabinets - not because they would eat them but just to have them forget about them and get a treat later.
With my first husband I did have to hide money. I would put it in my tampax boxes because he would never look there. Spare change could also go in empty vases.
