I don't try to tell them how to do anything. I just make suggestions.
Did we always listen to our parent's advice? Some things they just gotta learn on their own.
Yup, they would be wise to take the advice of their elders.

Nope, because I remember doing the same thing. This is all part of their growing. They have to make mistakes in order to learn.
What I HATE is when you try to tell your adult children the consequences of his behavior and I HAVE to pay the consequences. Thankfully its only happened a time or two.

You paying for their mistakes isn't their fault. What do they learn if you bail them out...other than the fact that they can get into trouble and you will bail them out of it.

It's hard to watch them do it but it's part of life. It's how we live and learn. I know for sure that I didn't listen to my parents. I'm sure some things I did but for the most part I wanted to do things my own way.
I have come to the conclusion this is how they learn and let it go
I tell them, I wouldn't if I were you and if you do, this will happen so that is why I wouldn't. SO when they do and complain I say, ugh we talked about this , remember.
