Tonight I took myself out to dinner at the local diner since DH is working late.  I love lamb & DH hates it so I had the braised lamb shank with mashed potatoes & sauteed green beans, and a cup of Manhattan clam chowder.  I brought a turkey club sandwich home for DH when he gets home later.  A couple of nights ago, DH made dinner - grilled veggie sandwiches.  He marinated slices of portobello mushrooms, sweet onions & red peppers in olive oil & balsamic vinegar.  Then he grilled the veggies on the outdoor grill.  He toasted some Portugese rolls & piled the veggies on them with slices of fresh mozzarella & fresh basil leaves from our garden.  He also made a green salad with home grown tomatoes & cucumbers.  It was delicious!  We try to have at least 1 fish meal & 1 non meat, mostly veggie meal every week.
