What is for dinner?
I am sitting here looking at my options of ramen and boxed macaroni and cheese yet again and neither looks apealing
ooh that sounds yummy!
Quoting Rileyscute:
Big slab of beef..broiled to perfection..lol
Quoting LadySaphira:probably a stupid question but what is London Broil?
Quoting Rileyscute:
London broil, mashed potatoes, corn, and sante fe rice
I am not a big fan of viggies..the texture of most of them make me gag but I would love to try lamb some day
Quoting Marinefranksmom:Tonight I took myself out to dinner at the local diner since DH is working late. I love lamb & DH hates it so I had the braised lamb shank with mashed potatoes & sauteed green beans, and a cup of Manhattan clam chowder. I brought a turkey club sandwich home for DH when he gets home later. A couple of nights ago, DH made dinner - grilled veggie sandwiches. He marinated slices of portobello mushrooms, sweet onions & red peppers in olive oil & balsamic vinegar. Then he grilled the veggies on the outdoor grill. He toasted some Portugese rolls & piled the veggies on them with slices of fresh mozzarella & fresh basil leaves from our garden. He also made a green salad with home grown tomatoes & cucumbers. It was delicious! We try to have at least 1 fish meal & 1 non meat, mostly veggie meal every week.
We kept it simple tonight, watching Hunger Games and having homemade steak & cheese subs with mushrooms (for DH) and sauteed onions.
I'm broke but my aunt and uncle wanted to take me to dinner. We went for seafood and it was the first time I've had it in a while. It was really good. I had shrimp and flounder.
can I come over? I'll take a steak and cheese without any veggies though unless you have black olives I can throw on there, I'll even wash my own plate. I want to see the hunger games but will probably have to wait untill Oct. or Nov. depnds on how long and how much it costs to replenish the clothes Roo has outgrown.

I know how you feel. I got paid yesterday and after paying the rest of my water/sewer, cable, car insurance and gas bills I have about $50 to last me another two weeks. Afraid it is time to hit the food pantry again.

Its good to have non meat meals. More than once a week is even better. Saves tons of money too. Your body doesn't need all that meat.
