I need an easy but delicious pasta recipe for Sat.  I feel like I make the same stuff over and over.  I'd like something with broccoli in it too I think.  Any ideas?  I don't want to spend a fortune or a long time but I want it to be good.  :)

I know I'm not giving you what you asked for but these are our family's favorites...

Ravioli Casserole

1 - 24 oz spaghetti sauce (your favorite)

1 - 16 oz spaghetti sauce (your favorite)

1 - 16 oz cottage cheese

1 - 25 oz cooked Ravioli (only takes a couple min. to cook)

4 c. mozzarella

Layer 1/2 of each...sauce, ravioli, cottage cheese, mozzarella then repeat.

Bake uncovered 30-40 min at 350.

When I make this for my dd who is vegetarian I use spinach or cheese ravioli.  For us I use meat ravioli.  This tastes just like lasagna but so much simpler.  Just add a salad and french bread.

I can't wait to try those 2 recipes you gave me Jeanine.  They sound so good!!  I'm thinking that on Sat I want to take something cold.  Only because I'll be pet sitting and just rushing around getting my stuff together before hand and it will make my life easier.  lol

Cut up chicken breasts into chunks and fry till done. Steam broccoli and add to chicken. Then add a can of cream soup (mushroom, chicken or celery). Heat through and pour over cooked pasta. (I use linguine or speghetti)

My favourite is to buy a package of Alfredo sauce (or make your own with cream and cheese).  Small pieces of chicken breast, bit sized pieces of red/yellow bell pepper, sliced fresh mushrooms, sliced canned artichoke hearts (not the ones in oil in a jar)  garlic, in small amount of olive oil.  When the chicken is cooked, remove from pan, saute vegetables, put chicken back in, and add the sauce.  Toss with pasta of your choice, and parmesan cheese.  It is delicious and quick.  Sorry, for not giving amounts, but I make stuff up, don't tend to use recipes.

You could do something like this one, which is what Ramona and I made for her family. Just add broccoli, maybe leave the peas and cucumbers out.

 Pasta Salad
adapted from Whole Foods Market

1 (16 oz.) box of farafelle (bowtie) pasta
1/2 bag frozen peas
2 large carrots, chopped
5 tiny cucumbers, cut in half lengthwise, and then sliced about 1/8" thick
3/4 cup T. Marzetti Roasted Garlic Vinaigrette dressing

Cook pasta per package instructions. While cooking, prepare vegetables. When pasta is done, drain. Place in large serving bowl, and while still hot, add all other ingredients, tossing well to mix (because ingredients are hot, they will absorb the flavor of the dressing better). Chill at least hour. Serve cold.
