What do you do to beat the winter blues?
I curl up with a good mystery.
Actually I don't get the winter blues. My mom now that's another story!! lol I actually like winter. Curling up with a book or movie and having some hot chocolate. I like it!! :)
I usualy curl up in some warm jamies with a good book, popcorn, and hot cocoa.
I am sure a nice vacation on some tropical island would beat them too!
Watching the fresh snow fall!
Not sure I would call it the blues, I just flat don't like being out in the snow or the cold. So I stay in and read, do some baking, and, of course, work on the next great American novel.
I suffer from SAD. I will knit or crochet frantically. The more things I turn out indicates how far down I got. Even on medication, I am crocheting blankets.
go for long walks
I don 't get the winter blues until this winter....I have the blues because their is no winter. (my favorite season of all)
I turn on the AC to make it feel like winter...LOLOL....true story!
I hear you! I am ready for some cold winter weather to come thru! I mean, it's still 51 degrees out there - at 8:20 on Dec 4! what's up with THAT? I have a hard time getting into the Christmas spirit when I'm running around in shorts! and the hot flashes I keep having lately sure don't help either! LMAO.

I have been thru some awful periods of depression - so I try really hard not to sink too deep into it. I have to get out of the house to cheer up - even if just for a few hours. That gives motivation to focus on 'doing' something. Usually ends up a day of shopping around, some cleaning, a nice dinner and a movie.
